Things have changed quite a bit since I originally wrote this article. A war has started and some of the laws in this country have been changed. There are a variety of good places on the web to find viewpoints not covered by the mainstream media. One is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/psnews, a research list we have on survivor issues, that also now has information on the events of the last few months.

There has unfortunately been some censorship on and off the web of different viewpoints than the U.S. government’s. This can create a cultlike atmosphere where opinions are controlled and manipulated through propaganda, fear and censorship. Jingoism may be used to do this also.

Usually the newsletter doesn’t usually comment on specific political events. But due to the influence of the September 11th events on survivors and others, I thought I would list a few urls and quotes.

Before I discuss this topic, I want to say that I feel horrible about the loss of life and badly for those that knew the people involved. I believe that senseless violence is a horrible thing. But, I think it is important to know that the U.S. is also at times a terrorist.

There are many examples in recent history, but a well-known one is the alleged US support of the contras by the US in Nicaragua, a terrorist-based group funded by us, against a democratically elected government

Also, the fear produced by this attack can be used to manipulate our minds and reason. This is shown in polls, like those that are finding Pres. Bush all of a sudden has an extremely high approval rating. A President that some believe did not win the election. (He did not receive the majority of votes. Many consider it a rigged election.)

Emotional Manipulation – Sometimes it is important to look at the argument(s) with as little emotion as possible, and try to see the facts only.

From http://carmen.artsci.washington.edu/propaganda/fear.htm, (picture at web site may be triggering) “…there are four elements to a successful fear appeal: 1) a threat, 2) a specific recommendation about how the audience should behave, 3) audience perception that the recommendation will be effective in addressing the threat, and 4) audience perception that they are capable of performing the recommended behavior.” Groups may also use these techniques on their members. They may say, “If you don’t do this, then the world will end, and so on.”

The threat is an attack to the US. The recommendation is to approve of the president, start a war which has caused the bombing of civilians. This will (supposedly) stop this from happening again (which unfortunately isn’t true).

I hope people will be able to look at all the facts as clearly and as calmly as possible and realize that mind control is occurring in this country, similar to that which occurs in cults.

A former Navy pilot told Newsweek that during his years on the base, “we always, always, always trained other countries’ pilots. When I was there two decades ago, it was Iranians. Charges against priest will stand – Santa Rosa – 9/28/01 – A Sonoma County judge …rejected Santa Rosa priest Don Kimball’s latest attempt to set aside charges of sexual misconduct against him. Judge Gayle Guynup ruled the statute of limitations hasn’t run out on Kimball, a former youth minister accused of raping a 14-year-old girl in 1977 at a Santa Rosa church and molesting a 13-year-old girl in 1981 at a rectory in Healdsburg. http://64.42.5.135/local/news/28ate_b3.html

Boy Killed, Black Magic Cult Suspected 10/11/01 – “Rio De Janeiro, Brazil (Reuters) – A Brazilian boy was castrated and killed this week, victim of what may be a black magic cult that has claimed 20 lives and spurred human rights groups to seek intervention from the Organization of American States. “Failure to act – By the 1980s, the Catholic Church knew more about pedophilia than any other organized group working with children in the US. Protect the Church at all costs – Cardinal Law plays hardball with sex-abuse victims – by Kristen Lombardi – “…attorneys for Bernard Cardinal Law, head of the Archdiocese of Boston, filed pleadings, or formal responses, to the 25 lawsuits charging that he had failed to properly supervise the now-defrocked priest John Geoghan (see “Cardinal Law sees no evil,” News, March 23), people were shocked by what they said. In court documents filed June 19 at Suffolk Superior Court in Boston, Law effectively blames more than a decade of sexual molestation by Geoghan on those who were allegedly victimized — all of them children at the time. Violence Is Endemic In Family Law – Many Lawyers Don’t See It In Their Own Clients by Dianne Post – “An informal survey done at an Arizona State Bar educational seminar showed that when there were allegations of violence in a divorce case, half of the lawyers suspected it was a strategic ploy. Unfortunately, lawyers, like other professionals and the public in general, want to ignore the truth about the prevalence of violence in families in America. In fact, violence against women is severely underreported in society in general. Reputable research done by government agencies and universities shows that as many as 65 per cent of women experience at least one violent episode in their marriage, and at least 20 per cent experience severe violence regularly. Other studies have shown that violence is the reason for 80 percent of divorces. Ashcroft Urges Caution With Records – By Gina Holland, Associated Press Writer 10/16/01 Washington (AP) – Obtaining government records may be more difficult under a Bush administration policy change made a month after the terrorist attacks. Attorney General John Ashcroft directed agency leaders to be cautious in releasing records to journalists and others. He said agencies must “carefully consider” things like threats to national security and the effectiveness of law enforcement. Letters to the Editor: The Real Darkness Is Child Abuse Wall Street Journal 02/24/95 – Larry Hardoon’s Letter – “The three Amiraults – Gerald, Violet and Cheryl – were convicted after two trials before different judges and juries almost one year apart. They were represented by able and well-known defense counsel. The convictions were upheld after review by state and federal appellate courts. The McMartin case in California was the result of a botched legal system and Kelly Michaels’s conviction was overturned because of legal errors…. The first trial involving Gerald Amirault lasted a record three and a half months. Nine children and their parents testified and were subject to extensive cross-examination. The second trial of Violet and Cheryl Amirault involved five children. The entire proceedings were public and extensively covered by the media….However, in Amirault, the majority of the female children who testified had some relevant physical findings, as did several female children involved in the investigation who did not participate in the trial. “Salvation Army duo on paedophile charges – From Roger Boyes in Berlin And Sam Coates – 9/7/01 – Two Salvation Army workers at a British Army base in Germany have been arrested and charged in connection with a paedophile network. Italian mass killer ‘was servant of Satanic sect’ – Rory Carroll in Rome – 9/9/01 – The Observer “Pacciani, …was convicted of the crimes in 1994 and died four years later. Italy consigned the case to history…last week evidence surfaced suggesting Pacciani was not the Monster. He was merely the delivery-man to a Satanic sect, which commissioned the murders to obtain human body parts for ceremonies…The real monsters were allegedly the wealthy and respected members of Tuscan society – including a doctor, ambassador and an artist – who to this day have remained undetected. Nottinghamshire County Council – Revised Joint Enquiry Report – “In October 1987 seven children of an extended family in Nottinghamshire were removed from home on suspicion that they had been sexually abused by their parents and relatives. In February 1989 10 adults, both male and female, appeared at Nottingham Crown Court charged with 53 offences of incest, indecent assault and cruelty against 21 of the children of their extended family and extensive terms of imprisonment were imposed. It is generally agreed that this was the most serious case of multi-generational sexual abuse within an extended family known in Britain. The successful prosecution was the culmination of enquiries made by both Police and Social Services personnel co-operating together into what became known as the Broxtowe Case, Nottingham. Mormons Settle Pedophile Lawsuit for $3 Million – 9/5/01 Sex Abuse Lawsuit Is Settled by Mormons for $3 Million by Gustav Niebuhr – “The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints disclosed yesterday that it would pay $3 million to settle a suit by an Oregon man molested as a child by a church member. The suit said Mormon officials had known that the molester had been accused of sexual abuse before. The case is unusual not only because the church disclosed the amount of the settlement, in advance of news conferences by the plaintiffs’ lawyers … but also because it centers on abuse by a man who was not a member of the clergy…Von G. Keetch, a Salt Lake City lawyer representing the church, said it strongly believed that the case “lacked merit” and had settled only out of concern that the litigation, already a decade old, could continue for years more, at high cost.”

French bishop convicted for keeping quiet about sexual abuse By Frederic Veille, AP – Paris 9/4/01 – “A bishop was found guilty …of keeping quiet about a priest who sexually abused children, marking the first time in over 150 years that a high-ranking French clergyman has been convicted of a crime. Bishop Pierre Pican, 66, received a three-month suspended sentence for hiding knowledge that a priest in his diocese had raped and molested boys from 1996 to 1998.”

Church Leader, Son Found Guilty – 8/31/01 – Meadville, Miss. (AP)- A church leader and his adopted son have been found guilty of sexually abusing a 14-year-old boy who attended their church and school….Prosecutors had depicted David Earl King’s Valley of the Kings Church as a cult-like group, with King as its patriarch. King, 66, was sentenced to 36 years in prison for sexual battery, conspiracy to commit sexual battery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was fined $16,000 on all counts. King’s son, Nathan Paul King, 32, received 18 years and 6 months for the same charges and was also fined $16,000.

LSD, Mind Control, and the Internet: A Chronology – 1953: Project MKULTRA initiated at the CIA, at the suggestion of Richard Helms,…Project continued at least until 1963; almost all records of the project were destroyed, at the direction of Helms, in 1973, …MKULTRA was specifically designed to explore the use of mind- and behavior-altering substances as part of global strategic intelligence warfare. MKULTRA, in its final phase, “involved surreptitious administration [of LSD] to unwitting non-volunteer subjects in normal life settings by undercover officers of the Bureau of Narcotics acting for the CIA.” (Senate Report). Harold Abramson proposes to the CIA an $85,000 study of the effects of LSD on unwitting hospital patients. Funding for this project was funneled through the Macy Foundation….CIA arranges cut-out contracts with The Geschikter Foundation, the Josiah Macy Foundation, and the Society for the Investigation of Human Ecology, for human-subjects tests on LSD. The Army Chemical Corps. administers LSD to 1000 American soldiers (“volunteers”) who then participated in a series of tests concerning battlefield performance. 95 “volunteers” were subsequently tested to evaluate the potential of LSD as an intelligence weapon…. 1959: Gorman annex at Georgetown built with a CIA wing for testing human subjects. Geshickter Foundation is the cutout; Dr. Geshickter’s foundation funded LSD experiments on terminally ill patients and on federal prisoners. Managing memories ; Sometimes it’s necessary to forget, researcher advises Marina Pisano – San Antonio Express-News 8/6/01 “Anderson and researcher Collin Green…whose findings were published in March in the journal Nature, had college students study 40 pairs of unrelated or weakly related words such as “moss-north” and “ordeal-roach” so that when they were given the left-hand cue word, they could supply the right-hand word….conclusion: Memory impairment increases as a person practices avoidance of the memory.”

In his prophetic translation of sacred writ, his hermeneutic method was in nature Kabbalistic. With his initiation into Masonry, he entered a tradition born of the Hermetic-Kabbalistic tradition. These associations culminated in Nauvoo, the period of his most important doctrinal and ritual innovations. During these last years, he enjoyed friendship with a European Jew well-versed in the standard Kabbalistic works and possibly possessing in Nauvoo an extraordinary collection of Kabbalistic books and manuscripts.
